Well...yesterday wasn't a very good day for me diet/exercise-wise. I cooked a couple of small pancakes and turkey bacon for breakfast. The pancakes were more calories than I would have liked but if you're going to eat a heavy meal it's best to do it at the beginning of the day than the end. So, if I had of eaten small meals from that point on, today wouldn't have been so bad. Of course I didn't do that. For lunch I ate a salad with a....wait for it....fried piece of catfish. Then for dinner I just completely threw my diet out of the window and ate a double cheese burger from burger king and washed that down with a tall cup of ice cold cranapple juice. Yes, it was delicious but it was not at all worth the guilt I'm feeling now. I just feel like no matter how determined I am to stay strong and lose weight, in moments of weakness I just can't make the right choices. It's really hard for me to stick to a diet unless I plan out what I'm going to eat before the day even starts. That way when I get hungry, I don't have to wrestle with tough decisions. Needless to say, yesterday I did not plan at all. After running around all day with the baby, a sudden hunger attack crept up on me out of nowhere and at that point I just couldn't wait to eat long enough to figure out what to eat, gather ingredients, cook, wash dishes, etc., etc. It was just easier to grab a burger from a fast food place and fill my stomach sooner rather than later.
*SSSIIGGGHHH!* I have got to break this cycle!
On a more positive note - that day is behind me and today I can start fresh. Today I WILL do better....I hope. :)

Intro Post
Hi everyone!
As I'm writing this, I currently have no followers. :/ Hopefully, that will change soon. I'm new to the whole blogging thing so I'm not really sure how to go about getting followers, but I have been reading a few blogs on here that I like so I'm going to start following those and maybe they will follow me back.
Anyway, there are a lot of reasons I am creating this blog. The primary reason is weight loss. I recently had a baby (well, almost a year ago now) and I am a young (23 y.o.) single mom/full time college student. With all of this going on, it's hard for me to find the time or energy to work out or the will power and self discipline to diet. I am hoping and praying that if I start blogging about my weight loss journey, I will create a substantial following of other weight loss bloggers who can be the support system I need to lose this weight.
Here are my current stats (I'll post these in my about me as well):
Height - 5'3 1/2
Current Weight - 180 lbs
Goal Weight - 135/140 lbs
I'm going to try to take some body pics to post on here just to track my progress. Hope you're not too grossed out by my fattiness. lol
Right now I am on summer break and I have enrolled in a summer tennis camp because tennis is a fun way for me to exercise. The camp only meets twice a week so I try to get to the gym at least once a week in addition to that. Like I mentioned before, being a single mother of an 11 month old makes it hard to find time to work out. My current diet is just a simple low-cal diet. I usually eat turkey bacon and 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast or oatmeal with turkey bacon or toast, a sandwich for lunch, maybe a salad for dinner. I don't stick to that menu strictly but that's a typical day for me. I also try to drink mostly water, but juice (especially cranapple) is a HUGE weakness for me. I've been losing weight slowly, but I want to kick up the speed so I'm going to try to get a little more strict on my diet and TRY to kick up the work outs a bit. Maybe I can take the baby with me for a walk or something. I am very open to any suggestions you all may have for me. That's part of why I'm starting this blog to begin with.
